Warm weather fun

As spring is in full swing in Florida we had the opportunity from our home to view the last night lift off of the Space Shuttle. What a sight it is. We enjoy cruising in our MGB going to the local car shows and visiting with other antique car owners. The winter has given us time to work at the pottery shop with our friends. Fun to see the finished product after all the work that is put into each piece. The warm weather brings out all the blossoms and the birds are numerous. Of course there is always spring cleaning of the house and the vehicles.

Having fun together

We were able to enjoy time at the park pool. Despite the cool water temps a dive in the pool was expected and done very well. Then off to the car show in Spring Hill. Every Thursday evening the cars show up and everyone enjoys walking around them and remembering days of the past. Maybe even owning one of them once upon a time. Always remember to include a little chicken in your diet as Mom always recommended. As all trips come to a close, we hated to see our family head to the airport for the flight home. Of course there is always next year.

Sailing in the Gulf

Our friends, Tom and Denise, treated us to a wonderful day of sailing in the Gulf of Mexico. Everyone had a great time and good sailing conditions. Tom's sailing experience makes it a fun time for everyone. We had the opportunity to spot some migrating dolphins as the water begins to warm in the Gulf. It was a good day to relax and enjoy the sights.

Family visit from Iowa

Vaughn's brother and family visited us from Iowa. It is always fun to have family and friends come to Florida to enjoy the warm weather. Nice warm temperatures greeted them so they really enjoyed their time with us. We stopped at Crabby Bill's for some great seafood. Always a favorite stop of mine. Then over to the beach for some shell searching and walking on the sand. The windy day did not stop us from spending time together.

Spring is in the air

Spring brings the taste of fresh strawberries grown in Florida. Just look at the size of these tasty delights. Some of the best we have had. Jo tried out her new iron skillet making her puffed pancake recipe from Alaska. Always a treat with peaches as the topping. We traveled to Tampa for the Tampa Charity Horse Show. The facility was located at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Some very nice horses being shown and looking great.
