Cattle Branding at the ranch in Montana

Here we are at branding time in Montana. The pictures show the activities of the day. It was a special time for us to watch 165 calves branded at the ranch, Lazy 3 Lazy V in the Sweet Grass Hills area of north Montana. The scenery is awesome. Three buttes are visible from the ranch. They are approximately 6900 feet in elevation. The US / Canada border is on the north boundary of the ranch of 8000 acres. You can see the post that indicates the border. There is an area of about 30 feet that seperates the US and Canada. This is called "No Man's Land". The weather is cool and have had some rain. We stayed at the Lewis and Clark campground in Shelby. Are now south of Glacier National Park. Hope you enjoy the pictures. We have lots more to share later.
