New Spring Race in Kansas City

NASCAR added a new spring Sprint Cup race at the Kansas Speedway. They ran Camping World trucks on Saturday and the Sprint Cup series on Sunday. As they are building a new casino where our original camp site was, we moved to a new location in the Blue Ox Campground and had a terrific time with our friends, Darrell and Judi. The weather was extremely hot for the entire weekend. We still had a great time. Took the opportunity to see Jeff Gordon speak at the AARP Drive for Hunger booth. Had a beautiful fly over with a B52. What a sight. Prior to the Sprint Cup race we took advantage of the track pass to walk on the track at the start/finish line. You could sign your name on the track, walk along pit road, and enjoy some country music provided by Jake Owen and his band. Then back to our seats for some fun racing.
