Fayette Unorganized Tractor Ride

The local community of Fayette, held their Watermelon Days and on Sunday had an unorganized tractor ride. We joined 26 other tractors and a total of 35 people to drive 60 miles on the round trip. We stopped in Wadena for a break. Then off to Volga for another quick stop. Lunch was ready at the Strawberry Point Hotel which everyone enjoyed. Then off on the return trip back to Fayette. Drove some blacktop roads, mostly gravel, and then some Grade B roads to see beautiful scenery in rural northeast Iowa. Jo and I took our 1959 IH 460 on its inaugural ride. We had a blast looking at the crops, the river valleys, and the wildlife along the way. Looking forward to our next ride. Had a lot of comments on our double suspension seat as we road side by side, cheek to cheek.
