Lehigh Acres Resort - Florida

A two week vacation takes us to Lehigh Acres Resort. From our resort we will take day trips to travel the area of south Florida. The resort provides many activities and the weather allows us to relax around the pool and visit with others.

St. Petersburg, Florida - Boat Show

The Chamberlains and the Drewes took a day to travel to the St. Pete Boat Show. On display were many new models from different manufacturers. We enjoyed looking at all the displays that not only included the boats, but also the vendors offering supplies, tours, boating clubs and vacations. The fit and finish on these vessels is amazing and they have the most accommodating interiors.

Venice, Florida - Art Show

Art shows are held on weekends around the area. Tom Chamberlain Pottery is well known for their unique glazed and fired pottery of many colors and designs. The show this weekend was held at Venice, Florida in the city center near the beach. Over 200 artists displayed their work and offered it to the many shoppers. Venice had a beautiful weekend for the show and the large crowd had the opportunity to take home the many creations offered.

Purr-fect Sailing

When time and weather permit, Tom and Denise have taken us sailing on their catamaran. What a great way to enjoy the Gulf water, the sun, the breeze and be with our friends at Hernando Beach. As the name of their catamaran says, it is "Purr-fect". We hope to have more time to sail with them.

Florida - The Sunshine State

We have arrived in Florida for our winter stay with friends, Tom and Denise. We are enjoying time with them at their home. They have three horses that like to trail ride in the 25,000 acre Florida State Forest at their back yard. You can ride for miles and see many different landscapes and wildlife along the trail. We like to help take care of the horses while they are at art shows as they have a pottery business and share their art work at many different shows from Minnesota to south Florida.
