South East Area Flywheelers
This year the Ford Tractor was featured at the South East Area Flywheelers at Ft. Meade, FL. We spent the day looking at the tractors on display. The parade was made up of mostly Fords, however, there were other tractors as well. We also walked through the vendors looking for some tractor parts, manuals, and flags. It was a beautiful day for this event and a nice display of Fords.

Patio Party
As we gathered on the patio for some fun and great kabobs we had friends join us in the trees. What a sight to see the red cardinal. The food was great and the fellowship was terrific. We enjoyed having Bob and Shirley and Larry and Pat join us in Florida for the winter. We had some fun times together at Farmer John's for breakfast and playing Dirty Uno. You have to watch the rules as they may change in an instant. What a fun new card game for us to enjoy. Safe travels to our Iowa friends. See you soon.

Weeki Wachee State Park
The Weeki Wachee State Park is not only the home to the Mermaid Show, it is also home to the Weeki Wachee River with many of natures inhabitants making their homes along the river. We took a boat ride down the river to view the wildlife. We also saw kayaks and canoes floating down the river. If you look closely at the photo with the eagles nest in it, you will see the head of the bald eagle sitting on the nest. The peacocks were showing their colors and what colors they were. I was fortunate to capture one in full display. We had fun going to the demonstrations of some of nature's creatures. The park has a lot of history and a great time was had by everyone.

Weeki Wachee Mermaid Show
The Weeki Wachee underwater Mermaid Show started in 1947. The location was chosen because of the artesian spring that flows into the Weeki Wachee River at the rate of 1.9 million gallons per 24 hours. The park is the only natural spring fed water park in the state of Florida. The park is now owned by the State of Florida and is managed and maintained by the State. There are two shows, one of them being "The Little Mermaid", which takes place at the mouth of the spring. The area is walled off for the audience to view the mermaids as they perform under water. One of the mermaids is from Brooksville, so this made it more interesting for us. The depth of the spring is breathtaking and how the mermaids perform using the air lines to give them oxygen makes the show very exciting. The signature move can be seen in several of the photos.

A Merry Christmas To All
The annual Christmas Day Parade in Brooksville had many floats, local school bands, horse clubs, and a favorite of ours, a Farmall H tractor pulling a float. Fun to see all the colorful entries as they parade by and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Our park is doing some updating of the streets which will be appreciated by all. Our friends from Iowa, Bob and Shirley, and Larry and Pat, are staying in our park area for the winter. We have been enjoying time with them. Have learned a new card game that is a lot of fun and fast moving. We have begun our winter project of replacing the floors in our mobile home. Will replace the barrier and windows also. Will be nice when it is completed. While doing all this we are painting all rooms as well. Many homes have their lights on and a favorite is the travel trailer where Santa opens the door and greets you. Merry Christmas to our family and friends around the country.
