Water Water Everywhere
March went out like a lion in central Florida. We had heavy rain, wind, and lots of lightning as Mother Nature showed her strength. Our immediate area showed what heavy rain will do with the ponds over flowing and the concern of how long it would last. It all ended well with March of this year being rated 5th for the amount of rain in the Tampa area. Wish we could get that one inch of rain every Friday evening. Wouldn't that be great.

Spring Visitors
Spring brings out the colorful flowers, new born Sand Cranes, aquatic species, and of course friends that were able to visit for a few days. We always enjoy having visitors and sharing the sights and sounds of spring in Florida. The super moon was shining bright the entire evening. It was closer to earth and was 38 percent brighter than normal. What a sight. Don and Diane were traveling through Florida and were able to include us in their travels. Nice to have friends that take time to stop and visit. Look closely at the photos of the pond. The one with the bird flapping its wings was warning us as we walked around the pond of the ever elusive intruder, the alligator. Our favorite pastime is sitting on the carport and watching the hummingbirds return. We have three regular ones and what fun they have playing around the feeders. Hope spring is soon in every ones area to enjoy the change of seasons.

Saint Patrick's Day in the Park
Saint Patrick's Day always brings out lots of things green. We had a terrific time watching the parade filled with our local fire department, the Sheriff's team that supports our area, many decorated golf carts, several horses, and all led by the US Flag waving proudly and leading the parade. There was entertainment, great food at Saint Patty's Day prices, and some interesting and useful door prizes. The weather was wonderful and we had a fun time. Our mail man joined in the celebration and wished everyone a "green" day. Even the dogs were all dolled up for the event. We also wish everyone the "Best of Luck".

IH Day in Leesburg, FL
We had a great time touring the grounds of Buffalo Nickel Ranch in Leesburg, FL. The show building had 66 immaculately restored IH tractors lined up on both sides and down the middle. A model 1206 Diesel just came out of the shop that morning and it really caught our eye. The buildings had many interesting exhibits from the time Stewart Paquette was a young man and through his career in construction. His dream is to save as many IH tractors as he can to keep them from being parted out or lost forever. We enjoyed visiting with him and seeing what he is accomplishing. Vendors served BBQ and homemade ice cream. Others had tractor parts and memorabilia for sale. You can see other tractors waiting their time to get in the shop for a make over. There will soon be another show building for the construction equipment that Stewart is restoring. Will be fun to see that next year. The three day show had several other colors of tractors on display as well. There was a tractor ride to The Villages and around the town square. We look forward to spending more time at this museum as it is a first class display of IH tractors and equipment.
