Giving Thanks with Friends

This year we spent Thanksgiving at the resort and had a wonderful meal. Many of the guests brought their best dish to share, and with the different nationalities making them all a treat. Mike and Nancy from Canada visited with us as we gave thanks for all we are grateful for. The resort staff prepared 20 turkeys with all the trimmings. Several families gathered to celebrate their holiday together at the resort in the beautiful sunshine of southern Florida. They played some great Boccie Ball and Shuffle Board also. The activities team planned a wonderful event with Rita, Susan, Todd and Kelly insuring their guests were enjoying the day. They had entertainment with some fun dance music that everyone could participate in. We look forward to returning to the resort next year for another wonderful stay.

A Gem in South Central Florida

We have enjoyed several weeks of fun and fellowship with friends from Canada, Europe, and many states of the U.S. Dave, Carol, and Jack from Michigan gather with us for Bingo and the chance to win. Susan calls the Bingo game this day and we always have a fun time. We have some great moments with them at many of the resort's games. Another exciting time is at the shuffle board tournaments as there are some very good shufflers here who are competitive at the game.

Fall Fun

We were able to see the corn harvest completed before heading south. We had a good trip stopping to see Ashley and Ryan on our way. We arrived to find everything as we hoped. The flowers are in bloom and our fall friends all lined up to greet us. May have to see if there is a Sadie Hawkins Dance at the park.

Project Completed

We assembled a new building at our Forest City location for use as a local distribution building. The constuction was fiberglass, metal and wood. The manufacturer sent Ian and Andrew to direct the construction. I was fortunate to be able to assist in the project before we headed south. Always looking for business opportunities and this was a fun project now completed.

A Birthday to Celebrate

Jo bowled for many years with Ardene while in Forest City. Their team always had a good time and also bowled pretty good. They traveled to State Tournaments together and bowled league at the Super Bowl in Forest City. Many good times were had and many laughs along the way. We were glad to be able to celebrate her 90th Birthday and recall all the good times together with the team.

Surprise Visit

We had a surprise visit from our daughter, Ashley, and granddaughter, Sabrina. We had strong winds that day, so being outside was a challenge for the little girl to stay on her feet. Jo had fun giving Sabrina rides on the little red wagon. Steve and Liv joined us for lunch to spend some time together and their meeting Sabrina. We added a new quilt board in our building. A friend of ours painted this for us, so we display it with pride with our tractors. Hey Grandma, come sit beside me on the kitchen floor.
