We took a day to do some shopping in Mexico at Progreso Nuevo. There is an increased military presence with some of the activity across the border. There are many different shops offering their wares. Street vendors sell pottery, blankets, jewelry, table cloths, leather goods, hats, and other items. It was a busy day with Spring Break ending and many winter Texans getting ready to head home. A treat for us was to go to the bakery for coffee and fresh made donuts and pastries.
