Fall is on its way
Looks like the crops will produce well this year compared to not having a crop last year after the hail storm. I counted 122 pods on one soybean plant. That should indicate a good yield on our farm. Had fun riding along with our neighbor, Andrew, as he hauled silage to the dairy farm. Also toured their dairy operation and observed the process of milking three times a day to supply us all with good quality milk. Attended an antique tractor show and watched how field work was done with horses, a one bottom plow and a five foot disk. How times have changed. Had a barbecue with family. Dawn and Garry served up a great meal for everyone to enjoy. Had a good time at a local tractor pull. Saw many friends and watched the old tractors pull their best. Beginning another restoration project with a family tractor, IH 966 black stripe, purchased new in 1976. Look forward to seeing the project when it is completed.
