The city of Treasure Island held their 22
nd annual Christmas Lighted Boat Parade on December 9th. The parade launched from the Yacht Club and floated past the judge's boat anchored at the end of the canal. Prizes were awarded in
categories based on the length of the vessel. Not only were the lights impressive, there was holiday music, caroling, and celebration of the season shared from the participants to the spectators watching from the canal's edge. Seems unusual to watch a parade on water, and to enjoy it in temps of 75 degrees this time of year. The flowers along our walk to the parade were in full bloom and the palm trees were decorated in Christmas lights.
