We celebrated our 4th of July by traveling to Jasper, Alberta. We toured the Columbia Icefield and were able to walk onto the Athabasca Glacier. The glacier has receded over the years. The interpretive centre has many interesting displays to show the history of the glacier. Jasper is as far north as we traveled in the park. On our return to our home base, Cochrane, we stopped at Horse Shoe Lake a popular cliff diving spot for the local youth.
