Banff National Park
Welcome to Banff National Park. We found many scenic stops along the Bow Valley Parkway
between Banff and Lake Louise and further north on Highway 93. The setting around Lake Louise includes the Fairmont Chateau Resort with canoe rentals being popular to explore the lake and view Victoria Glacier. Moraine Lake is a short 12 kilometers from Lake Louise. This is nestled in the Valley of the Ten Peaks. The turquoise water at Peyto Lake is unbelievable. The water from the lakes cut through the rocks and create impressive water falls and canyon walls.

the water is so clear...it's beautiful!!!!
Your photos of Banff N. P. and Lake Louise are stunning. I have a photo of Olivia and me standing by the lake that is virtually identical to yours. You can start checking off places listed in the book 1,000 PLACES TO SEE BEFORE YOU DIE - a fascinating book. I have a copy sitting behind me. Continue to travel safely.
