We had a great day to visit the Rio
Grande Valley Livestock Show in Mercedes, Texas. The
weather was warm and the sky was sunny. The theme of this year's show was, "A Salute To Volunteers". There was entertainment, food galore, amusement rides for all ages, many displays, commercial and agricultural, antique farm equipment, new machinery, and visiting with friends. Look closely at the air filter and see what the Farmall filtered out. We even came across some WIT members from Iowa that we have known for many years and enjoyed visiting with them. The chain saw wood carvers intrigued the audience with many different works carved from a log and molded into a piece of art with a chain saw. We enjoyed walking the grounds and observing the many different activities that the show had to offer.
