Oregon Trail

Left Mt Hood area and saw very dry conditions with cliffs and valleys. Mt Washington is in the background as we came up from the valley. Stopped at Madras, OR, to view Peter Skene Ogden Gorge with a 300 foot cliff area. Ogden, UT was named after this individual. The sign posted was rather unusual, warning people to keep their dogs in their vehicles as many dogs have died going over the cliff. Stopped at Vaughn, Oregon. The town is very small with rural area and housing in the trees and valleys. Did find the road sign of Vaughn showing the way to the town.
