Oregon is the second of the two states in the Northwest we were wanting to travel through. We now have two states remaining in the Northeast, Maine and New Hampshire. This has been a great accomplishment to date. This area also was dry to the east, and became more beautiful as we traveled west along the Columbia River. We were able to camp at the base of Mt Hood and can see the mountain every day. Also can see Mt Saint Helens from Hood River. There are a lot of activities in the area including wind surfing and kite surfing on the Columbia River.
