The 4-H events at the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show involved youth of all ages and many different projects. We were able to watch the showmanship contests with the lambs and the goats. The youth participated by age groups with the youngest being ages 3 - 5. It was a great time watching them maneuver their animals for the judge to view as some of the animals were larger than the young exhibitors. Once placed, the judge would give them feedback on their performance and how to improve. What a great time for learning. Some of the projects included chickens, pigs, rabbits and the lambs and goats. Other interesting work that was shown were projects of photography, horticulture, welding and woodworking. The welding showed some interesting designs on BBQ grills. Most of the projects were then sold at an auction to raise funds for the youth and their 4-H clubs.

Nice to see you on your way again. Thanks for sharing the 4H and FFA pics. Looks a lot like home, doesn't it :-)
Glad you got to stop and see Laura. I am sure she enjoyed the visit.
Continued safe and happy travels. I am sure we will visit during Easter week sometime.
