Toured Parliament Hill in Ottawa. The Centre Block features the Peace Tower and houses the House of Commons and the Senate. West and East Blocks house Senators and members of Parliament along with their staff. East Block also has offices that reflect the era of the early 1800's with reenactments from that time. Each day at 10:00 there is the Changing the Guard Ceremony with pomp and majesty including bag pipes and inspection of the troops. We toured the National War Memorial with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and during our visit there, Vaughn was interviewed by Andrea from A-Channel TV about the renaming of Highway 401 from Trenton to Toronto, "The Highway of Heroes", for fallen Canadian Soldiers who have lost their lives and travel this highway on their way home. We need to recognize those who give their lives for our freedom today. We also walked the grounds along the Ottawa River which included our passing by the US Embassy.
